Tashkent hosts First International Pharmacy Forum

Representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, specialised organisations and pharmaceutical companies are attending the event.

On June 15, the First International Pharmacy Forum started its work in the capital of Uzbekistan, the press office of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan reports.

The forum is organised by the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, the Agency for Development of Pharmaceutical Industry and the Association of Representative Offices of Foreign Pharmaceutical Companies and Manufacturers in Uzbekistan.

The event aims to support domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers, increase exports and attract foreign investors to the industry, as well as promote an exchange of experience, advanced technologies and practices among representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, Uzbek pharmaceutical market and foreign countries.

Representatives of more than 100 well-known Uzbek and foreign pharmaceutical companies, ministries and departments, pharmacy networks, as well as embassies are participating in the forum.

The Uzbek participants presented the development indicators of Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical industry. More than 100 investment projects worth over $500 million have been launched over the past 5 years, which made it possible to increase the export of pharmaceutical products by almost 5 times and pharmaceutical production by 2.5 times.

The forum offers a platform for presenting the investment projects on the creation and management of high-value pharmacy enterprises.

The forum will close on June 16.
