Turkmenistan creates new antiviral syrup

It contains extracts of ginger, licorice and marshmallow roots.

Turkmen scientists have developed a pharmacopoeial article, namely a recipe for a new antiviral syrup ZENJEBIL+2, as well as industrial regulations for its production on the demand of the pharmaceutical company Saglyk (Ashgabat). It was reported by the daily newspaper «Neutral Turkmenistan» on January 22.

The syrup contains three components, particularly extracts of ginger, licorice and marshmallow roots (medicinal plants). According to experts, ZENJEBIL+2 treats colds, flu, bronchitis, upper respiratory tract diseases, pneumonia and whooping cough.

The healing properties of the syrup increase the resistance of the body to a wide range of various harmful effects, strengthening the immune system. Ginger extract relieves coughs and sore throats, it is also used as an expectorant. Licorice is an anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antiviral agent.

Marshmallow helps to relieve redness and irritation of the entire pharyngeal mucosa. It also treats the digestive system with gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers.
