Digital healthcare project discussed in Kyrgyzstan

The programme aims to develop person-centred healthcare and promote data driven decision-making.

On December 22, the e-Health Centre under the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan convened a meeting in Bishkek. The discussion focused on the work done by the e-Health Centre this year and the Sanarip MED digital healthcare project for 2022-2024, the press office of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

Deputy Minister of Health Uluk-Bek Bekturganov noted that the project had two goals: to develop person-centred healthcare and promote data driven decision-making.

The programme also aims to increase access to medical services and make health care more convenient for healthcare consumers.

The e-Health Centre presented this year’s developments, namely, a digital health profile, a laboratory information system, a national resource management information system and an immunization information system.

Bekturganov emphasised that data was the heart of digital healthcare, and the modernisation of the health system policies should be based on data, not done through trial and error.
